Our library is committed to building a diverse and inclusive collection that supports the research, educational, and personal growth needs of our university community. By reflecting the interests and needs of our users, we aim to promote reading, lifelong learning, discovery, and creativity. Our goal is to empower our community to stay informed about societal developments and cultivate the essential skills needed for the future.

Selection Guideline

Our collection development process is guided by thoughtful selection, evaluation, and ongoing updates, adhering to the following principles:

  • Relevance: Materials that directly support curriculum, research, or the interests of our community.
  • Quality: Consideration of the academic, literary, or artistic quality of the material.
  • Currency: Focus on acquiring current and up-to-date materials, while also preserving classic and foundational works.
  • Authority: Preference for materials authored by experts, scholars, or recognized authorities in the field.
  • Accessibility: available in various formats.
  • Community-Centered: shaped by the needs and interests of our community through suggestions, and feedback.
  • Sustainability: balancing the acquisition of new materials with the preservation of valuable existing resources, ensuring a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to collection development.
